Everything I keep trying to write profanes what I think and sounds pompous so I'll just say it with a drive down 1700th near Elliotstown IL and leave it at that.
Its sad that I think I know exactly where this is at. Hope you had fun at home. Sorry I didn't make it out. I crashed early the night you texted me then I deleted it before I could save your number.
Wow, it has been a long time since I've seen that particular stretch of road. I never seem to find the time to go for a decent drive out there when I head back home. Although, I do have to say it still strikes me as odd not seeing your family's old place out there when I do get the chance. For some reason, I always expect it to be there even though I know it's not.
I always kind of avoid 2200th.. try not to get any closer than the Lutheran church.. its like if I don't see that it's not there, it still is there. But I do need to get out on the Blacktop next time I'm home.. drive down the center line at night way too fast..
Well, they say that you can never go home again. I tend to believe that you can, you just might not like what you find. Hitting Bishop Road at about 90 still feels as great as ever, though. I'm starting to believe that I am physically incapable of ever driving a normal speed on that road again.
